prom

all the gals,
rida, maria, shaira, molly, almas, roza, bleugh, siofra, ella

wearing:
dress // made by me
shoes // boohoo
clutch bag // monki
lipstick // 'ruby woo' by mac (yeaaah i splashed out)

At the weekend i had my school prom.
Because of exams, schoolwork, sixth form induction etc i didn't really have time to get excited about it, and didn't begin dress shopping until like...the week before. And while the rest of the year were eagerly discussing their chosen prints and necklines i was quietly freaking out at the prospect that i would probably end up going to prom in my pyjamas.

It felt like i went every. flippin'. shop, and visited every sing online store, in the search of the dress.
But two days before the evening i had not found the dress. Or even just the dress. Or any dress.
So i had to take matters into my own desperate hands and make one, using £3 a metre fabric, which was the only suitable material i could find in time.
Ta-da, this is my creation. I finished it in 24 hours, and was still taking out tacking stitches in the car on the way to the hotel.

Ah well, at least it will make a good story to tell
I can honestly say that my lipstick cost three-times the price of my prom dress, which has to be worth something, right?
